The NPP’s parliamentary candidate, Joseph Markay Kuma had filed the suit against the NDC and the Electoral Commission claiming the election was fright with electoral irregularities in the Sene West constituency.

The case he brought before the court few day after the election, was praying the court to put an injection on the counting of ballot papers from a polling station that is in contention between the NPP, the EC, and the NDC.

The said ballot box was snatched away and returned by Faithful’s of the NPP party which had only the seals of the NDC and EC broken but the NPP’s remain intact. This caused the EC and the NDC to agree on not counting ballots from that Box, however the NPP thought otherwise and moved to place an injection on counting of the ballot papers of that polling station, sources disclosed.

Meanwhile the culprit of the dastard act has been jailed for three | 3| months.

Lawyers of plaintiff  were Nana Sekyere Boateng and Obiri Boahen whereas the defendant was represented by Kojoga Adawudu and Ofosu Agyare.

The court today did not only charge the the plaintiff but threw out the case brought against EC and the NDC on the Sene West Parliamentary Elections by the NPP for lack of merit.

By this verdict the EC can now go ahead to either count the snatched ballot box or conduct fresh Election in that polling station.
