Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has shared valuable advice with rising musicians, encouraging them to focus on consistency and authenticity in their craft.
In a tweet posted on May 1, 2025, the award-winning artist reflected on the pressures of the modern music industry. He cautioned young artistes against relying too heavily on instant feedback to measure their progress.
“To all up-and-coming musicians… this era is a bit crazy because you feed off instant feedback to assess your career, but that ain’t realistic. I know it’s almost impossible to do otherwise, but you have to try,” he wrote.
Sarkodie, best known for hits like Adonai, emphasized the importance of perseverance, patience, and genuine passion for the art.
“Just keep your head under the water and keep going,” he added. “Most importantly, make sure you enjoy your art. Not every song will be huge on the airwaves, but that means nothing. Just make good art for your core audience and stay consistent!”
His message struck a chord with fans and fellow creatives who echoed his sentiments across social media.
