Mr. Samuel Nugblega, Former NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Akatsi South and Human Resource Director of Christian Health Association of Ghana has donated some personal protective equipment to some sixteen schools in the Akatsi South District of the Volta Region.
This gesture is the second since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic in the country in March last year.
On April 8, 2020, Mr. Nuglega, donated items worth GHc150,000 to St Paul’s Clinic, Horga Clinic, Sefe Clinic, Wute health Center, Avenorpeme Health Center, Gefia Health Center, Lume Health Center all in the Akatsi District.
The items donated to health facilities in the constituency include a set of megaphones for mounting on District Health Directorate van for awareness creation, 3,500 pieces of mask, 200 pieces of bed-sheet, 82 pieces of pillowcase, 179 pieces of overall, 320 pieces of hand towel, 6 boxes of sanitizer, over 10,000 pieces of Syringes and needles with syringe tray, nebulizer, poly clinical tube, cylinder holders, 60 pieces of Anesthesia Breathing Circuit and many more.
The philanthropist on Thursday, 9th April 2021, exactly one from the last donation, has again extended his helping hands to some sixteen (16) selected schools and three (3) health facilities in the district.
The schools that received the items include Lume Avete, Lume Ahugakorpe, Gefia, Wlitey, Wute, RC Akatsi, Dzogadze and Avenorpedo.
Others include Avenorpeme, Zuta DA, Agbedrafor DA, Agbedrafor RC, Gornikorpe DA Prim, ARS/DA Basic, Anyiheme EP Basic and Dzrakate
The health centers that benefited from Mr. Nuglega’s benevolence include the District Hospital, a Clinic at Lume, the five (5) Health Centers, and three (3) private hospitals.
Some of the items donated include reusable mask, thermometer gun, sanitizers, multipurpose Liquid Soap, disinfectant, chlorine among others.
