The National Democratic Congress recently launched a show called “Nokware Mmre” on the UTV that had commenced the creation of higher views or (traffic) on UTV and also on Facebook.

However, the management of UTV, a member of the Despite Media Group, today 30 October 2020 wrote to the NDC suspending the program alluding a legal suite against an NPP member and the station, where a court of competent jurisdiction found them guilty.

The suit which was from brother of former president John Dramani Mahama, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama against the two parties (Mr. Ernest Owusu Bempah and UTV) has being sighted as the basis for the suspension. The Communication Officer wondered how the sins of NPP are attributed to the NDC whiles attaching the letter involved to his post.

Sammy Gyamfi wrote on his page ,
“For the records, the attached letter from lawyers of Ibrahim Mahama, is what is being used as basis for the decision to suspend the “Nokware Mmre” show.

Note that at no point, has the host of the “Nokware Mmre” show or the management of UTV been served with any letter or defamatory suit from anyone, relative to the airing of the “Nokware Mmre” show.

How the sins of the NPP, (who decided to use a Host who has been found by a court of Competent Jurisdiction to have defamed Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, to continue to defame him) can be visited on the NDC remains a wonder.

Nonetheless, we are grateful to the management of UTV for the opportunity. “Nokware Mmre” shall continue to thrive! Stay tuned for more details.” He concluded.

However the Communications Officer has subsequently indicated the program shall be air on TV Africa henceforth.
