Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has made it clear he is happy at the club, even though there is no urgency to extend his current contract, which runs until the summer of 2027.

The 23-year-old recently made his return from a three-month injury layoff, marking the occasion by scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.

Widely regarded as one of the best right wingers in the world, Saka’s absence was deeply felt by the Gunners, whose Premier League title hopes have diminished in recent weeks.

Unless league leaders Liverpool suffer a significant late-season collapse, Arsenal are likely to finish as runners-up for the third consecutive season under Mikel Arteta.

While domestic silverware may be slipping away, Arsenal still have their Champions League campaign to focus on. The Gunners face a formidable test in 15-time champions Real Madrid in the quarter-finals, a matchup that could define their 2024/25 season.

Ahead of the clash, Saka appeared for pre-match media duties and was asked about his future. The England international reiterated his desire to stay with Arsenal.

“I want to win and I want to win wearing this badge, so I think it’s pretty clear,” he told reporters. “The fans know how much I love them and you saw when I came on [against Fulham], I think they love me back. It’s a good relationship and I’m really happy to be here and focus on winning here.”

Saka also praised the support from Arsenal fans upon his return, describing the atmosphere as something that needed to be felt in person to be fully appreciated.

“You had to be in the stadium to really feel and understand the noise and energy they brought for me. I want to win here and that’s my focus now.”

Despite speculation that often surrounds top talents in the final years of their deals, Saka expressed no concern over his contract situation.

“I don’t think anyone is really in a rush,” he added. “I have got two years left on my contract so it is pretty relaxed. Everyone knows my thoughts and I’ve let you guys know as well so I don’t think there’s any rush really.”

With his focus firmly on helping Arsenal achieve European glory, Saka appears content and committed to the club’s long-term vision.
