Former Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam has issued a passionate call to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to draw critical lessons from its 2024 electoral defeat and channel them into a determined effort to return to power in 2028.
He believes that while the party has faced setbacks, it now has a unique opportunity to rebuild stronger by placing greater value on loyalty and dedication from its grassroots members.
Dr. Amin Adam pointed out that many hardworking individuals who invested time and effort into the party’s success have been overlooked in the past in favor of those with mere proximity to power.
He proposed that government appointments, when the party regains power, should be based on merit and commitment. Specifically, he suggested prioritizing members in good standing who pay dues regularly and actively participate in party activities at all levels.
This, he said, will not only restore faith within the party’s ranks but also energize its grassroots base for the tough political battle ahead.
He emphasized the importance of unity, encouraging every party member to get involved in rebuilding the party’s strength and ensuring a successful comeback in the next general elections.
