Henry Nana Boakye, widely known as Nana B, has directed his legal team to seek a public retraction and apology from the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) following allegations made in an investigative report broadcast on TV3.
The report, titled “NSS Scandal, the Inside Story,” accused Nana B of being involved in fraudulent activities during his time as Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS).
However, his legal representatives, Sarkodie Baffour Awuah & Partners, have firmly rejected these allegations, clarifying that Nana B’s tenure at the NSS was from January 2017 to September 2018.
Afterward, he resigned to serve as the National Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The lawyers further argued that the report’s defamatory nature was compounded by the publication of his image alongside the unfounded claims.
Nana B took to social media to reinforce his position, stating that the allegations made by the MFWA through its Fourth Estate platform were baseless.
He confirmed that his legal team had formally demanded a retraction and apology from the organization for tarnishing his reputation.
The NPP official has also warned that legal action will follow if the MFWA fails to meet the demand. “If MFWA does not comply, my lawyers have my full instructions to take the necessary legal steps,” he said.
It remains to be seen whether the MFWA will retract its report or stand by its claims as the situation continues to develop.
