Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have finally captured their maiden UEFA Champions League title, thrashing Inter Milan 5–0 in a one-sided final at Munich’s Allianz Arena.
The victory marks the largest margin in a UCL final since 1994, when AC Milan beat Barcelona 4–0, and ends PSG’s long pursuit of European glory.
Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring in the 12th minute against his former club. Rising star Désiré Doué then stole the spotlight by netting twice, becoming the first teenager since Eusebio in 1962 to score a brace in a Champions League final.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and substitute Senny Mayulu added to the tally, sealing a historic night for the Parisians.
The win crowns a major turnaround for PSG, who shifted from a superstar strategy featuring Messi, Neymar, and Mbappé to investing in youth. Remarkably, the triumph comes in their first season without Mbappé, who left for Real Madrid last summer.
Coach Luis Enrique claimed his second Champions League title after leading Barcelona to glory in 2015. He also became only the second manager in football history to win two trebles with two different clubs, joining Pep Guardiola in elite company.
With Ligue 1 and Coupe de France already secured, PSG complete a historic and become only the second French club to win Europe’s top prize, following Marseille in 1993.
