Prof. Quarm Publications donates 400K worth of books to Otumfuo Education Fund

The former member of Parliament of Amansie West District who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Prof. Quarm Publications, Prof. Albert Joseph Quarm has donated fourteen thousand books to the Otumfuo Education Foundation.

This kind gesture forms part of his corporate social responsibilities to complement the efforts of the Otumfou Osei Tutu II Education Foundation to strengthen the wheels of good quality education in the Ashanti Region.

He was accompanied by the Manso Nkwanta NPP Constituency Chairman, Mr. Owusu Mensah, Party executives, and workers of Prof. Quarm Publications to pay a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace during the Awukudae Festival.

The former MP during the presentation of the items said education is the greatest asset for the human race and without education, society would be prone to giving birth to social vices such as armed robbery, prostitution, among others.

He further indicated that going to school without books is something that is inimical to education and thwarts the progress of teaching and learning.

Prof. Quarm Publications has recently won “Best Publication of the decade”.

Whiles expressing profound gratitude to the educationist for the gesture, the Chairperson of Otumfuo Education Foundation, Nana Afia Kobi Prempeh hailed Prof. Quarm for his immersed contribution over the decades in the areas of sustainable education and healthcare among others.

Over 20 years of good standing, the Otumfuo Educational Foundation has duly cushioned brilliant but needy students with financial assistance to aid them further their education to the tertiary.

The Foundation undoubtedly continues to provide fertile grounds for essential education materials to the deprived and under-served communities to make education accessible to all in the Ashanti Region.
