The convenor of Fix The Country Movement, Oliver Baker Vormawor has accused the University of Ghana Political Science lecturer, Prof. Ransford Gyampo of saying Martin Kpebu is “Martin Kpebu is courting cheap popularity”.
Martin Kpebu following President Akufo-Addo’s comment that he, the president does not care if the people of Kwabre vote for NDC in the next general elections because of their bad roads, lambasted the president over his comment.
The private legal practitioner called the president super incompetent, arrogant, and clueless about the realities of the Ghanaian economy hence the current hardship being vented on Ghanaians.
Mr. Kpebu who boldly spoke on TV3 Keypoints Programme says he was not afraid to die and will lead Ghanaians to stage part two of the Kum Mepreko Demonstration to force President Akufo-Addo to resign from office.
Prof. Gyampo in a series of a Facebook posts did not mention anyone’s name and wrote:
“In our advocacy for the just society, we must be fair, firm and not one-sided. We must not court cheap and unnecessary popularity for ourselves, else we will soon fade away and deny society of the boldness it require to effect changes.”
This probably is what Mr. Vormawor is referring.
