Reports about the enskinment of Prof. Edmund Delle as the Paramount Chief of Nandom Traditional Area has been disputed by the Chiir Der Royal Family of Nandom.
The Chirr Royal Family in a statement signed by the Regent and Head, Deri Ziem Chemogoh, clarified that no chief has been eskinned as the funeral rites of the late Naa Puore Puobe Chiir VII are still ongoing.
They urged the general public to disregard the alleged enskinment of the Chairman of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), which is false and an “attempt to cause mayhem and to disunite the Royal Family and the good people of Nandom”.
“The Chiir Der Royal Family has received with shock and dismay, news of the purported enskinment of a new Chief of Nandom in the person of Naa (Prof) Edmund Nminyem Delle Chiir VIII. We wish to state unequivocally that no chief has been enskinned,” the family stated .
They further warned “Edmund N. Delle and his surrogates to respect the chiefs and good people of Nandom and allow peace to prevail.”
