Prez Akufo-Addo names 38 MMDCEs

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has named 38 persons to fill the vacant positions of Chief Executives in the various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDCEs) across the country.

He nominated the MMDCEs in accordance with the 1992 Constitution and section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, Act 936.

A press release signed by the Minister of Local Government, Hajia Halima Mahama dated July 18, 2018, said: “In view of the above, the respective Regional Ministers are kindly requested to liaise with the Regional Electoral Commission to conduct the confirmation process of the nominated Chief Executives in their Regions”.
