The Government of Ghana, under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, has announced the National Economic Dialogue, scheduled to take place on March 3rd and 4th, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre.
This important gathering aims to provide a platform for Ghanaians to respond to pressing economic challenges and forge actionable solutions to foster sustainable economic growth.
The National Economic Dialogue is not a new concept, as similar events have been held in other countries, such as Ireland, where the National Economic Dialogue has been an annual event since 2015.
The Irish dialogue brings together key stakeholders to discuss and shape the country’s budget and economic policies.
In Ghana, the upcoming dialogue represents a crucial step in fulfilling President Mahama’s campaign promise to involve citizens in discussions that shape their economic future.
The event will promote consensus and collaboration among participants regarding priority policies and structural reforms.
President Mahama will lead the dialogue with a Keynote Address centered on “Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together.”
The dialogue will bring together key stakeholders from the private sector, academia, public policy institutions, and civil society organizations.
Participants will engage in detailed discussions through thematic sessions focusing on critical areas such as achieving sustainable macroeconomic stability, promoting economic transformation, advancing infrastructure development, and implementing structural reforms.
