Dr. Dodzie Numekevor has been serving as interim Director General of the NSA since February 2024, after taking over from Professor Peter Twumasi.

President Nana Akufo Addo is said to be incensed with the poor state of stadiums across the country which has attracted international shame.

Mr Numekevor has been fired for renting out the Baba Yara sports stadium six days before Ghana’s match against Angola in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
