The Electoral Commission (EC) has informed all parties to present their evidence on the discrepancies they have discovered in the Provisional Voters Register (PVR) at the yet to be held Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) on October, 1st 2024.
The EC emphasized in a press release today, September 30, that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have not submitted any data to back their claims and demands for a forensic audit of the PVR.
The EC has entreated the NDC and other all stakeholders to come with their data on Tuesday at the IPAC meeting.
It also explained that the Final Voters Register is a process, not a one-time event, reiterating of their commitment to working with IPAC to arrive at a credible Voters Register.
Meanwhile the NDC’s Director of IT and Elections, Dr. Omane Boamah, noted that the discrepancies remain unresolved.
He has called for a live coverage of Tuesday’s IPAC meeting. He believes a live coverage will provide Ghanaians with real-time, unbiased information on the state of the 2024 voter register, following the EC’s self-audit process.
