After years of long wait, the Prampram Traditional Council has finally enstooled a Paramount Chief in Nene Tetteh Wakah III.
Nene Wakah III, the new Paramount Chief, in a brief address, said he is determined to unite all the clans to, first and foremost, build peace to spur the area on to development.
He said it is when all the clans are united that the unemployed youth in the area could be gainfully employed in the private companies on the soil of the area.
“When we are united and close our ranks, the companies cannot disregard our plea to them to employ our youth to reduce the rate of unemployment in our area.
“Our youth can be rich if we the elders are united and agree on one thing,” he said.
He called for peace among all the clans and people of Prampram Traditional Area, and implored the elders to help him chart a good course during his reign.
Prampram is plagued with land disputes and the situation is making the courts and police milk the litigants.
Numo Nasser Abbey Osabutey, Secretary of the three Prampram clan houses, advised the litigants to withdraw all land dispute cases at the courts for amicable resolve at home to save cost and time.
He advised the new paramount chief to be fair and firm in redressing disputes and admit his shortcomings when the elders point them out to him.
“His sobriety and fairness and firmness in taking tough decisions would make him the darling of the people,” he said.
