Awake Sports sources at the Sports Ministry indicate that the Ministry is working with the Ghana Football Association, on getting Nana Osei, the physical trainer contracted by Head coach Paa Kwesi Fabian to join the team in Dubai for the pre-tournament camping.

Nana Osei who was privately contracted by Paa Kwesi Fabian had been [ads1]training with the team for the past three months but was dropped by the FA at the last minute.

Speaking to the media on getting a physical trainer for the team, Deputy Sports Minister Pius Enam Hadzide said, “For now we don’t have any physical trainer for the team. The coach contracted somebody to help out in that field.

“We at the Sports Ministry were not made aware he was part of the team. We were given eight names of members for the technical team. It was at the last minute that we were told the coach wanted the physical trainer to travel with the team but by that time it was too late with the arrangements we had done.

“But we are now arranging for him to go and join the team. We have to formalize things for him to join the team.

He also mentioned that the physical trainer could not travel with the team because at that moment he wasn’t part of the technical team which was justifiable by the rules governing the team.

“We are now consulting with the Ghana Football Association, to officially attach him to the team temporarily for this tournament, he added.
