A vibrant and young woman, Patience Ackom has filed to contest for upcoming local assembly elections in the Afadzato South District in the Volta Region.
Patience Ackom is a professional teacher who is a product of Lekleb Senior High School and St. Theresa College, Hohoe. She wants to represent Leklebi Kame, Dafor and Kudzra Electoral Area.
Some of the Patience’s colleague from school days who spoke to Awake News said they wish she could be given the opportunity to even go unopposed as they believe she has all it takes to firmly and effectively represent their community as the Assembly and help bring the development of their community.
“I know Patience very well. She is very sociable, hardworking and respectful even back in our Secondary school days at LESEC. I wish I have the power to make her go for this election unposed.” – Patience’s school mate told Awake News

Patience is an active member in her community who on several occasions served as a member of the Leklebi Kame Annual Ester Festival Planning Committee. She actively participates in many developmental activities in her community and has facilitated the regular posting of Mentees to the Schools in her community for the past three years.
The outspoken and energetic teacher MCs almost every event that she participates in so long as she visits the community during those occasions.
