Oti NPP elects regional executives today

The ruling New Patriotic Party in the Oti Region today held its first ever delegates conference and election of the party’s executives at Dambai College of Education in the Oti regional capital.

The conference which was on the theme “Empowering our grassroots for victory 2020” saw about Thirty one (31) candidates from all the eight (8) constitutes, which includes, Krachi East and West, Krachi Nchumurum, Nkwanta South and North, Kedjebi, Biakoye and Jasikan and also Santrokofi Akpafo Lolobi Likpe (SALL).

Delegates contested for the following position in the party, Regional chairman, Regional second vice chairman, Regional secretary, Assistance regional secretary, Regional Organizer and Regional women organizer.

According to the party’s constitution and regulations, one hundred and fifty (150) delegates cast their votes today to help the party achieve it’s objective for the year 2020.

The following persons are the newly elected as Oti regional Executives:
Regional Assistance Secretary, Janet Emefa Obro – Adibo Goka from SALL 67 votes

Women organizer, Olivia Yawa Aglago from Nkwanta South 64 votes.

Regional Organizer, Abubakar I. Salifu from Krachi East 46 votes.

Regional Secretary, Joshua G. Makubu from Nkwanta South 98 votes.

2nd vice chairman, Stephen Kwaku Akumoah from Buem constituency 64 votes

Regional chairman, Evans Y. Dapaah from Nkwanta North 80 votes.

Mr Joseph Denteh treasure, Nasara coordinator Nuunu Sarebutu and Mr Agyei 1st vice chairman went for un-opposed.

In a statement delivered by the honourable Member for Krachi East honourable Micheal Yaw Gyato early this morning, he advise the delegates to vote wisely because the leaders that they would select today has a great responsibility to deliver since he can no longer be called (Lone ranger).

Therefore, they are to win more seats for the party come 2020 elections to help the NPP government to create more jobs for the people of Ghana as he has already started. According to him, some members of the National Democratic Congress NDC can attest to the fact when it comes to job creation, New Patriotic Party is on top.

Mr. Dapaah Y. Evans who is now the newly elected chairman for Oti region, expressed his appreciation to all members of the party especially the delegates for their commitment, he therefore, assured the people that, they will work hard to support the party to win additional seat in parliament coming 2020 elections.
