According to the ad post by multimedia group, Joy News, members of ICGC who could not make it to church on Sundays could still pay their offering through an online bill payment platform, ExpressPay app to the church’s bank account.

The method of mobile money has attracted a loud roar from the members and Ghanaians.

In 2017, he has lashed out at Christians “who give undignified offerings to God”.

Preaching on the topic; “offerings, tithes, and gifts”, Pastor Otabil advised that the gifts and offering Christians offer in Church are not for the enrichment of pastors but rather a renewing of a covenant with God.

Using the analogy of Cain and Abel, Mensa Otabil argues that God blesses offering of “quality and quantity” just as he accepted that of Abel in the Old Testament.
