The union has announced it has called off its indefinite strike slated for October 10, in a bid to pressure government to ban the activities of illegal mining commonly known as ‘galamsey’.

Leadership of Orgnised Labour has stated that they are satisfied with the measures to be rolled out by the Nana Akufo Addo – Bawumia led government in the quest to end the menace.

Meanwhile, some members of Organised Labour had earlier on threatened to sue the Union because they believed, the sit down action is unlawful.
