[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n a way of halting school leavers jams in the country, the Open Dove Children’s Educational Foundation (ODOCEF), a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) in the Kpando Municipality, last Friday 9th June, 2017 organized a one day programme for the JHS graduates in the municipality to help them keep away from social vices.
ODOCEF has been organizing the programme for over three years now to help the children both JHS and SHS graduates to go through counseling and prayers, the very moment they finish writing their final [ads1]exams.
This years event which was on the theme “EBENEZER PRAISE 2017,” brought more than thousand two hundred (1,200) children for the programme. As part of the activities, a motivational message was delivered by Mr J. A. Rami a motivational speaker from Accra, and an intercessory prayer was also leaded by Rev. Augustine Kofi Takyi also from Accra with many gospel artists.
Pastor Joseph Amoako Ansah who is the Director of the Foundation explained his motive behind organising such a programme for the children.
According to him, “examination doesn’t end the day you finish writing but still continue until you get your result, so when you finish writing your exams it doesn’t mean you should go to the world and live all sought of ungodly lives but you need to thank God and still remain in his presence, because many things do happens in the course of marking the papers”.
A citation was presented to the Anglican Church in Kpando for their massive support in organising such a wonderful programme.
