Communications Manager for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s 2024 campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has stated that Dr. Bawumia is the most experienced politician in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) today.
According to Aboagye, Bawumia’s extensive political career sets him apart, having served as a running mate for eight years, vice president for eight years, and now as the flagbearer for the largest opposition party in the country.
Aboagye emphasized that the rank and file of the NPP believe unity behind a leader who has articulated clear alternative policies is crucial for the party’s success.
He argues that Dr. Bawumia, with his vast experience, is the party’s best chance to return to power.
“In our party today, the most experienced and active politician is Dr. Bawumia. He has been at the forefront of this country’s politics for sixteen years, and data supports this. Our political history also backs this up,” Aboagye said.
Addressing concerns raised by some party members about Bawumia’s candidacy, Aboagye noted that internal elections were approaching and that such comments were part of the democratic process.
Despite the criticism, Aboagye emphasized that Bawumia’s focus remains on uniting the party to ensure their victory in the 2024 elections.
“Even in the face of such comments, Dr. Bawumia remains focused on unity and teamwork, emphasizing the need to work with all committed members of the party to return to power and implement the ideas we have for the country,” he added.
