Gospel musician Nicholas Omane Acheampong has called on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to foster unity and avoid internal divisions as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.
During a visit to the Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, Omane Acheampong emphasized the need for peace and cooperation within the party, especially during its internal primaries.
He advised against the use of personal attacks and public confrontations, which he believes only weaken the party’s image.
“Let’s come together as one. We are pleading with our leaders that during our internal elections, we should avoid attacks. Just like Afenyo said, we do not have to wash our dirty linen in public,” he stated.
The gospel singer, known for his active support of the party, expressed confidence in the NPP’s ability to win the 2028 elections, stressing that success is possible if all members remain united and focused on the bigger goal.
He concluded by encouraging party leaders and supporters to prioritize unity over individual interests, saying it was the only way to ensure a stronger and more victorious NPP in the years ahead.
