Okay, I’m up early. What should I do? Do you like stories? I love stories. I will tell you a story! Please. I insist. 🙄

Senco Homes

As many of you know, two days ago, I got caught out in the floods; and my car got flooded. But y’all didn’t hear the half of all that transpired.

Yes I got few bruises and I have a bill to pay to get that car back in tip-top shape. But that day was also one of my best in a while.

With the water rising. I managed to grab a bag and got out some of the most important files I still had in the car out. I stepped out to the safer side of the car and braved it out.

I then tried to find safe grounds and a store front to wait at. While getting close to one store front, one of my legs got out in some rails covering a gutter (now completely covered with rain), and I just sank in the water. I managed to pull myself up, with my leg all bruised up; and my ego disciplined. Lost my sandals in the process, so now fully walking bare footed.

I tried moving away from that side, to find another storefront. That’s when a car came by me, and eventually stopped near me. A young lady had her driver stop, and she took out an umbrella, and handed it over to me.

Their car parked on the other side of the road, and using my legs, one at time to slowly feel for the grounds, I moved to that side.

She then asked, “wait are you not that famous guy”? I said Errrm no please but I have one of those faces. She said no, no, and tried to remember my name. “Victor”? she said. I said yes, my name is Victor but I’m not famous.

She got of the car, I held the umbrella over her head and we shared it. We then walked to safer grounds and we sat on the stairs in front of a shop together. She still insisting I was famous and expressing how much she liked this “Victor” guy; and me denying I was the same “Victor” guy.

I asked more about Victor. Apparently this Victor was bold and smart. I said that definitely doesn’t sound like me. Apparently just like her, her cousin, really admired this Victor guy.

Before I knew what was happening, she was taking selfies of us. She insisted she had met a famous person and she needed photo proof! Then she sent the photo to her said cousin, to confirm authenticity. “Oh that’s Oliver! Tell him we really like him.”

🤦🏿‍♂️! I’m not him. I said. I’m Victor. She made a video call to her cousin; “cos it will make her day”. I still said over the phone, that’s not me. Then her cousin said, oh I have actually sent you messages on Facebook and we have exchanged messages. 👀 Now I was interested. I was like wait whaaat!

I asked her name, and checked our conversations. Yep! She had consistently sent me messages of encouragement and to let me know she was praying for me. Check this, one of her recent messages said “Listen you don’t know me from Adam but I need you to know that you’re loved supported and prayed for by many ppl like me”.

I was mind blown AF.

So, then the young lady, just got talking! She told me about herself and her life. She was into providing IT solutions to companies and sounded really good at her job. At least she seemed in love with it.

She pointed out her office to me, and insisted on making me tea. I protested; and suggested why don’t we order some food together and eat on the floor right there. We brainstormed, maybe waakye or kenkey, She hadn’t had breakfast either. She was game. Except, no sensible Uber driver will be doing food delivery at that time. So we shelved that idea.

I agreed then to the tea offer. There was a store close-by that had opened, I sought whether they had bathroom slippers and I bought one. Now my feet were covered.

We went into her office and she showed me around. We talked about her job while she made tea. She told me about her side projects too. Turns out she was pretty entrepreneurial. I was impressed. She had a candle business, an emoji hat business (mojihat, she called it). She and her cousin made cookies too. She liked those as well. The business name for the candle brand was “Eighty 8”, and I thought it was a cool name.

She made me tea, a bun, which had a generous chocolate spread. I gulped that down like a rat that had been caught in a deluge; and needed to keep warm.

She gave me two of the candles to try. I insisted on paying for them. She offered me a famous people discount, but I paid full price. I have tried those candles, and they smell amazing.

I want to support her business. Her name is Aly. She likes Alykay as a nickname. I thought it was corny as a nickname, and I was glad it wasn’t the business name. Still likes it.

I left with a promise to hopefully get someone on my timeline to return her generousity.

If I was truly famous, perhaps I could get a couple of people to order some candles, hat or Cookies.

Please use this link to her BUSINESS number: [https://wa.link/hava4s] WhatsApp her and order something please.

Because I need to sound like an influencer, Use the ”discount” code “Victor” to get 1 cedis off. I just created my own discount code.
