Okada legalization: Come, I’ll debate you on Mahama’s behalf – NDC’s Amos to NPP Youth organizer

The Deputy Greater Accra Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Amos Blessing Amorse has sent a strong message to the Greater Accra Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Moses Abor who is calling for a debate with John Mahama on his proposal to legalize Okado business when elected.

Mr. Amorse questioned Mr. Abor’s intellectual capacity to challenge former President John Mahama at the time that President Akufo-Addo is running away from Mahama’s debate challenge.

For Amos, monkeys play by sizes, therefore, John Mahama who was once a President is right challenging President Akufo-Addo for a debate and that he [Mr. Abor] who is also a youth organizer must meet him [Mr. Amorse] for the debate on the legalization of the Okada business.

“I have personally pardoned his deficiency in intellectual discourse and have tried my best not to ridicule him by challenging him to a debate, but since he would not appreciate the fact that he is intellectually disabled and would want to show off, I, Amos Blessing Amorse, the deputy Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, accepts to debate him on issues relating to Okada. Monkeys play by sizes. Mr Mahama was once President. Nana Akufo Addo is now President. Both of them have tasted the presidency. If Mahama relishes a debate, which of course he has been angling for, then the best person to face him is Akufo Addo.” – Amos said

“Now that he, Moses Abor, a regional youth organizer is calling for a debate, I am on the same level pegging with him and, for purposes of emphasis, accepts his challenge to debate him. I want to assure him that I will not insist that the debate should be conducted in English. I know for a fact that if it is in English, he will run away from the debate like Akufo Addo. He should choose a language he is fluent in and set his one question without my knowledge, and I will face him and shut him up.” – He added

Mr. Amorse is also wondering why Mr. Abor would suggest that the legalization of the okada business was a stolen vision yet will want to have a debate on the same when many NPP bigwigs have kick against the ideal.

“If we accept Moses Abor’s claim that the promise to legalize Okada is his or Akufo Addo’s vision, then the NPP has failed to honor it promises to Okada riders. Isn’t it surprising that, aside Akufo Addo, Moses Abor too says he has a vision and that vision has been stolen?. Even Dr Bawumia, the Vice President, would dare not say he has a vision aside what has been articulated in the name of Akufo Addo. Again, I am not unaware that Moses Abor would not understand all that I have written to pump some sense into his head. But I beg of him to get one of the privileged few NPP lapdogs around him who can read and understand, to explain the points canvassed in this short piece to him in a language other than English for him to understand.”

NDC DEPUTY GREATER ACCRA REGIONAL YOUTH ORGANIZER ACCEPTS TO DEBATE NPP REGIONAL YOUTH ORGANIZER ON BEHALF OF JOHN MAHAMA ON OKADA

A good friend of mine drew my attention to this ridiculous flyer this morning and I had a good laugh over it. But for the mention of John Mahama’s name, I would have ordinarily treated it as one of Moses Abor’s undeserved self-promotional antics to convince his political benefactors that he is still relevant in Greater Accra NPP politics. To challenge JM to a debate is an indication that Moses Abor is a stranger in his own Party and does not know his Party’s stance on debating John Mahama.

As an unsolicited cure for his ignorance, Moses Abor should know that Mahama has challenged Akufo Addo to a debate and the latter has openly declined that invitation for fear of being badly bruised and exposed. I have personally counseled Moses Abor in a crossfire on Top fm to assess his intellectual capacity and grammar before issuing statements and soliciting response from the NDC youth wing in Greater Accra. Since that advice, he has not attempted that folly again. I am not unaware that he has complained to known people in NDC that I insulted him on radio.

This flyer mirrors how confused Moses Abor has become. As we speak, NPP big shots have chastised Mahama for promising to legalize and regulate the use of motorcycles and tricycles for commercial use when elected. It is clear from the public utterances of leading members of the NPP that the Party is against the legalization and regulation of Okada. Under what circumstance would an out-layer in the NPP like Moses Abor say John Mahama’s promise is a ‘stolen vision? Stolen vision from who? For purposes of argument, let’s agree that the promise to legalize Okada is Akufo Addo or Moses Abor’s vision. The NPP has been in power for almost four (4) years, why didn’t they implement this supposed vision? The law banning Okada is not an Act of Parliament but a Regulation. Revoking an LI is as easy as designing a flyer and challenging people to a debate. So why has it taken NPP government almost four years but it cannot implement the supposed Moses Abor’s vission?

If we accept Moses Abor’s claim that the promise to legalize Okada is his or Akufo Addo’s vision, then the NPP has failed to honor it’s promise to Okada riders. He should choose a language he is fluent in and set his one questions without my knowledge, and I will face him and shut him up.

NB: a good samaritan should tag him or send it to him.
