The pro-governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), WoezorTV has been trending since yesterday. This is because the TV stations broadcasting feed was transmited on the official social media pages on the seat of gvernment – Jubilee House.

Senco Homes

The media house which have been one of the prominet voices of the then opposition leader, former President John Mahama is own by the currectly Deputy Cheif of Staff, Stan Dogbe.

Most social media userage afficilated to the oppossition New Patriotic Party (NPP) have complained about what the described as the government ignorring the state owned broadcaster, GTV and GBC for Stan Dogbe’s Woezor TV.

“So Jubilee House has state media at its disposal, but somehow, Woezor TV is preferred? Meanwhile, GTV runs on taxpayer money. Wouldn’t relying on state media help strengthen and improve it? Just curious — open to answers! – Stephen Mensah on his Facebook page

Another social media user also has this to say;

Investigative Jounlaist, Manasseh Azure Awuni also waded into the flight saying, Woezor TV’s ‘advertisement’ on President Mahama and government pages could put Stan Dogbe in conflict of interest.

In a sharp response, Mr. Dogbe writes:

Are you wondering what their worry is about WoezorTV?
1. The platform, working with other like-minded platforms like TV XYZ and Radio Gold, did for John Mahama and the NDC what the hoard of pro-NPP, state-owned, and professional media networks put together did not do for them. They are now scared about the channel’s capacity over the next four years to bring President John Mahama and VP Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s activities and governance actions straight into homes, offices, cars, farms, bars, and other places.

2. WoezorTV’s penetration through its live stream and on-air channel on the MultiTV Digibox grew rapidly, which none of their pro-NPP platforms could match.

3. Some elements promised to help set up a competing platform to WoezorTV and yet could not fathom the technological superiority the network was deploying, with broadcast capability from across the country and the world.

4. They were so troubled that WoezorTV’s application for a DTT channel was kept on ice (not refused) because they imagined the number of eyeballs the channel would have if it added DTT viewers to the DTH and live stream.

5. Thanks to WoezorTV, many professional TV and radio networks, including JoyNews, TV3 and others, relied on the channel for all news from the John Mahama campaign from anywhere in the world, making their work easier and news gathering faster in some cases.

6. WoezorTV, together with its technology partners, made it possible for the first time in Ghana to broadcast live in a clean feed to benefit other TV networks and online platforms.

7. I will not talk about our reputation as the home of quality live TV broadcasts and live streams in Ghana, delivering exceptional picture quality.

8. So, why are they making the noise about WoezorTV taking over GTV or GBC as the state media? This is so that WoezorTV, which is not available on DTT either, would not lead the communication agenda of the Mahama administration.

9. Does it even make sense that WoezorTV will take over the status of GTV?

10. Under John Mahama, GTV and Radio Ghana have more access to the President and the Presidency than under any other administration.

11. Today, GTV broadcasts live from the presidency, including all events of the president, just like JoyNews, TV3, Channel One TV, WoezorTV, GhOneTV, etc. Do you know why? Because WoezorTV opened the way for live broadcasts and live streams, the competition has become healthy and beneficial to the Mahama brand.

12. GTV also goes live with outdoor events of the presidency at a scale never seen in Ghana before, and that is because the presidency has created that convenient platform for them and other networks.

13. WoezorTV will continue to make it possible for all networks in Ghana, where they are not able to transmit live, to pick feed from WoezorTV, either via clean feed or our platform, to reach out to the millions that want to follow HE John Mahama and HE Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

14. The people ‘crying’ about WoezorTV broadcasting live from the Presidency cannot deny that all other stations do too. They cannot deny the exceptional collaboration between WoezorTV, Silicon House and GTV that brought Ghanaians and the world the best-ever coverage of a presidential inauguration ceremony. They did not value that? They did.

15. Should it be wrong for GTV to pick a live feed from WoezorTV from say, Aflao, Tumu, Munich or Addis Ababa? Absolutely no. That is the kind of collaboration that should exist between the networks. If it is not wrong for WoezorTV to pick GTV or TV3 feed, or for TV XYZ or GhOneTV or UTV to pick WoezorTV or GTV feed, why can’t GTV bring news and information to its viewers from another source?

16. This noise is about nothing.

17. Have they not seen TV3 or JoyNews picking WoezorTV when they are not live themselves? Or WoezorTV picking from them and GTV when they are not there?

18. WoezorTV is pro-Mahama and pro-NDC, but our popularity is across the country, and we have become a favourite TV channel for many, especially young Ghanaians, because we bring them content they want to watch.

19. Re-scan your digital TV today and enjoy our quality programming.

20. WoezorTV- We go all out for you.
