Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Sam Nartey George, has expressed confidence in his performance during his recent vetting by the Parliamentary Appointments Committee.
According to him, he was mentally prepared for the intense questioning and remained composed throughout the process.
The over five-hour session featured sharp scrutiny, particularly from Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who focused more on Sam George’s past controversial statements made while in opposition than on his qualifications for the new portfolio.
Speaking in an interview on Channel One TV, Sam George said he had expected to be targeted and came prepared.
“I didn’t take offense. I was prepared for it. I knew I was one of the people the Minority was going to try to make a case with,” he said.
Despite the heated exchanges, he believes he acquitted himself well, adding that he remained focused on the task and demonstrated the qualities needed for the role. His calm under pressure has since drawn public attention, with many praising his composure and confidence.
