The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to embark on a nationwide “Thank You” tour, starting next week, as announced by General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua.

This initiative aims to express gratitude to party members and supporters across the country, despite their defeat in the 2024 general elections.

“We will be embarking on a Thank You tour from next week, which we refer to as giving thanks to God in all things. In all things, we give thanks to God,” Kodua said, emphasizing the party’s commitment to appreciation and unity.

The tour will feature both Christian and Muslim Thanksgiving services, showcasing the party’s inclusive approach.

In addition to the tour, the NPP will launch a membership drive to reorganize its base.

“As part of reorganizing our base, we are also going to embark on a membership drive, which the various regions will have the details as to how we are going to go about it,” Kodua explained.

The NPP General Secretary also urged party members to maintain unity and avoid making irresponsible public statements.

“We are one family, and the most important thing is unity in the party. We should watch our utterances. It is not about accusation and counter-accusation,” he cautioned.

Kodua called for patience as the party leadership reviews the recommendations of a 12-member committee that submitted a report on the party’s election defeat.

“The report is in, we are yet to even deliberate on the report, so people should be very circumspect on their discussions on radio,” he advised.

The NPP leadership has assured the public that a detailed roadmap will be shared soon. “The leadership of the party has a roadmap. We know what we are about, and very soon, the timetable for all the major activities in the party will be brought out for all of us to know and to prepare ourselves,” Kodua stated.
