The Bono Regional Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo has open yet another fire on the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) describing its government as an “error” all Ghanaians must come together to correct in 2020.
He was reacting to the news of the arrest of the National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo whiles thanking the youth in his region for the massive turn out at the Regional Police Headquarters in solidarity with the embattled chairman.
“On behalf of my deputies, we wish to thank you all for the support and readiness to pour on the street tonight upon hearing our directive to picket the police Regional headquarters to show solidarity to our National Chairman.
Per my checks, some people had even moved to the Bono Regional Police Headquarters waiting for our arrival before the timely release of our Chairman” – Efo Worlanyo said in a statement sighted by Awake News
According to him, the support shown by the NDC youth few hours after the news of the arrest of their chairman broke indicates that they are really ready to work tirelessly devoid of any intimidation from the NPP for victory in the 2020 general elections.
“What happened this evening gave me hope that the Youth are ready and poised to give up their sleep for the victory that beckons us. It has also shown that no amount of intimidation will stop us from the victory we all seek to crown ourselves with come 2020” – He said
Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department of Ghana Police Services at about 3:00pm today in Accra over his failure to honour an earlier invitation from the Police CID to assist in an investigation into what the Police said he could be linked to the recent incidents of kidnap and fire outbreaks in the country.
This was preceded by his earlier arrest and charge over alleged leaked tape where he allegedly said the EC Boss, Jean Mensa and the National Peace Council Chairman, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Asante need to be kidnapped. Allegations he has since denied.
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo has since been granted bail and released from the Police custody.

Wish to also thank the Sunyani East Organizer, Hon. All my Constituency and branch Youth Organisers I say bravo for your support shown this evening. I know it would’ve been massive if our Chairman was delayed a little further.
The ultimate thanks go to YOU and YOU for your good intentions of supporting our move.
What happened this evening gave me hope that the Youth are ready and poised to give up their sleep for the victory that beckons us.
It has also shown that no amount of intimidation will stop us from the victory we all seek to crown ourselves with come 2020.
Let’s continue to exhibit a hundred folds of what we did this evening because we are not far from reaching the destination call victory.
We wish our National Chairman well as he continues to fight these “animals” call ELEPHANTS. We stand by him, with him and for his day and night and we strongly believe at the end the EAGLE will triumph.
