The General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has threatened to name appointees from the Bono Region who are doing deservice to the party.
According to him, some appointees from the region are not in touch with the grassroots which he believes is a threat to the party’s electoral fortunes in the region.
In a Facebook post sighted by Awake News, Mr. Kodua wrote: “Feedback from my tour of the Bono region shows that some appointees have lost touch with their base. Don’t force me to start mentioning names; do the needful.”
The General Secretary of the NPP is currently on tour in the Bono Region, assessing his party’s preparedness towards the upcoming December 7 general elections.
While in the region, he held discussions with all key stakeholders of the party in the various constituencies of the region. He also met with NPP Parliamentary Candidates (PCs), MMDCEs and Council of Elders.
Mr. Kodua further called on stakeholders of the party to take charge of the campaign at the grassroots level
“…assume ownership of the campaign at the grassroots by reaching out to electorates in the towns, communities, villages, markets and places of worship to whip support for Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and the Party’s Parliamentary Candidates,” he requested.
