Sekou Nkrumah, the last son of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, has joined millions of Ghanaians in calling for change in the leadership of the country.
According to the renowned author, the mismanagement of the country’s economy by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) gives a clear indication that the party does not deserve another term.
In a social media post, Mr Nkrumah said “On a serious note, building roads is good, building infrastructure is good.” He continued “But the current economic situation in Ghana means NPP does not deserve another four years in office! It is time for a change! Ghana first.”
The ruling NPP, with Vice President Dr. Bawumia as its flagbearer, is seeking for a third successive term as the country heads to the polls on December 7, 2024. However, many Ghanaians have shared their frustration about how the country’s economy has been managed.
