Veteran Gospel duo, Tagoe Sisters born Lydia Dedei Yawson nee Tagoe and Elizabeth Korkoi Tagoe have bemoaned with keen interest how gospel songs do not inspire anymore.
The duo who was on an Accra-based radio station, Kasapa FM registered their disappointment at the new breed of Gospel musicians who do not compose songs to inspire listeners.
They made special reference to the lyrics of songs produced lately by Gospel musicians who do not take time to make thorough research.
“The lyrics of the songs are always laced with requests and this is not the main purpose of music. There is no inspiration in the songs and some people are only doing it for life. It is important to draw inspiration spiritually when the songs you produce are being played but this is not existent in recent times”, – Tagoe Sisters said
They advised that, Gospel musicians should do their best and bring out songs that will inspire people spiritually and win souls for Christ.
