The Volta NDC has stated that the president of the Republic of Ghana, Akuffo-Addo and the Finance Minister Ken Ofori Attah has lied to Ghanaians about claims made by the finance minister concerning claims payment to all National Health Insurance Scheme accredited facilities across the country.
In a statement copied by Awake News on Sunday the 15th of March 2020, the Volta NDC said: “We can say on authority that upon our investigations, the president and the finance minister peddled serious untruth to Ghanaians, because the majority of accredited NHIS facilities in the Volta region have not been paid by the government since January 2019 to date as claimed.”
They are calling on the government to pay all facilities in the region as a matter of urgency ” The NDC Volta with all these unalloyed facts, call on the government to pay all facilities in the region as a matter of urgency to enable the facilities to build their local capacities and acquire protective gears in the midst of the reported cases of coronavirus in the country.”
Their comment is coming on the heels of call for increase in the healthcare facilities as the country has recorded six (6) of the deadly corona virus.

GOVERNMENT PEDDLED UNTRUTH ABOUT NHIS PAYMENT IN THE COUNTRY
The NDC in the Volta region has taken judicious notice of the claim made by the finance minister concerning claims payment to all NHIS accredited facilities across the country which was also reechoed by the President.
We can say on authority that upon our investigations, the president and the finance minister peddled serious untruth to Ghanaians, because the majority of accredited NHIS facilities in the Volta region have not been paid by the government since January 2019 to date as claimed.
