The Deputy National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Elikem Kotoko has taken on the Minister of for Railway Development, John Peter Amewu over the accident that occurred yesterday during the text drive on the procured train on the Tema-Mpakadan railroad.
In a statement by the sector minister yesterday shortly after the incident, the train crashed into truck parked across the rail line just after a sharp curve.
Thought the driver of the said truck, Abel Dzidotor has been sentenced to 6months imprisonment on his own plea, Elikem Kotoko thinks the said accident could have been avoided if the Minister and his team were on top of their job.
“STOP this rather infantile tantrum; a railway that has been completed and almost left for months, engineers should have common sense to know that in the conduct of their SAT, there was need for them to check the entire railroad to be sure of no obstacles. So, if thieves had gone in to steal some of the metals, the train would have rather derailed.
Unless as sector Minister you are not on top of your job and have either little or no knowledge of what standard procedures should have been, to wit, a squared peg in a round hole.”

By the way, the statement issued said this was in a curve, the unmanned stationed truck (with no registration number) doesn’t appear to be in a curve, and when test driving a train, what’s the allowable speed in a curve?
Finally, why not put out the car number, and since you procured those expensive drones when you were at the other Ministry, couldn’t you have just used those drones to survey the entire railroad
It won’t even be surprising this is a self inflicted wound by the BUTTERFLY
Kpordawoe, stop this butterfly analysis. Your post rather contains very irresponsible tantrums, who knew when you were going to even conduct a test”
