Government spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofusu has explained the rationale behind the appointment of the new Inspector General of Police (IGP), calling him the most qualified candidate for the job.

During an interview on GHOne TV, he shared that the new IGP’s vast experience makes him the right person to lead the force.

With a career spanning over 40 years in law enforcement, the newly appointed IGP is seen as the most senior officer, and Kwakye Ofusu believes his expertise will be key to transforming the Ghana Police Service.

He also noted that the new IGP’s leadership will help make the force more modern, efficient, and responsive to the nation’s security challenges.

When questioned about why this particular individual was chosen, Kwakye Ofusu emphasized that the IGP’s long-standing success and proven leadership make him the perfect fit for the role, ensuring the continued upholding of law and order while adopting modern policing methods.
