“We shall do our best, in line with the president’s mandate, to support local businesses. I intend to work closely with the Minister for Trade and Agribusiness to advise the president on potential tax reforms that will enhance the competitiveness of Ghanaian enterprises,” she stated.

The GITC plays a key role in safeguarding fair trade practices and balancing the interests of local and foreign businesses. The appointment of Adjei-Kwaa is seen as a significant move to strengthen the Commission’s operational capacity and strategic direction.

Welcoming the new Executive Secretary, the Head of Research and Planning at GITC, Bernad Manu Afreh, reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to supporting government initiatives aimed at revitalizing Ghanaian industries.
