The Pre – Tertiary Teacher Unions namely the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) and the Collation of Concern Teachers – Ghana (CCT-Gh) has expressed their disappointment in government attitude in the on-going negotiations with regards to their conditions of service.
This was disclosed in a Press statement by the three teacher unions on April 15, 2024 signed by the various leadership of the three teacher unions.
The statement explained that the Government Team seem not to have the requisite mandate to respond adequately to their demands and that the on-going negotiations have not achieve any meaningful outcome.
The leadership of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) and the Collation of Concern Teachers – Ghana (CCT-Gh) has therefore caution the government and the general public not to blame the leaders of the unions in the event that any brouhaha occurs at the Pre-tertiary level.
