Information reaching Awake News indicates that Ghana’s former High Commissioner to India, H.E. Sam Pee Yalley, has passed away.
The news of the NDC stalwart’s death came on Sunday, April 6, and members of the party have since been paying tributes to him.
Mr. Yalley was well recognized as the founder and national president of NDC’s Professional Forum group. The group brings together professionals in the country to stand by the ideals of the ruling party.
In a reaction to his death, a member of the Proforum, Jibril Agbesi Hamenoo wrote, “Unlike those who don’t even pick our calls nor respond to our messages anymore… you kept faith with us, admonished us, and always found time to return our calls and respond to our WhatsApp chats!
“You were a great man. I pray the remarkable contributions you recently led through the NDC PROFORUM will be recognized and written in the history of the party!”
A former deputy national organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Elvis Botah, has also mourned Mr. Yalley’s demise. In a social media post, he wrote, “…You served your people, your nation, your party … and the international community well. History will be kind to you.”
Meanwhile, the NDC party is yet to make any official statements regarding the passing of one of her renowned members.
