Lee Ocran, a former Minister under late President John Evans Atta Mills’ administration has passed on.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) stalwart, according to family sources died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital last night after battling an illness.
Lee Ocran was an astute politician who served as an MP for Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region.
He was also a former High Commissioner to South Africa.
He was once a Deputy Minister for Environment and board member of the Volta River Authority.
Mr. Ocran was appointed by late President Mills as Minister for Education from 2012 to 2013.
