The opposition National Democratic Congress’s parliamentary candidate, Hon. Bernard Ahiafor has launched his campaign for the Wute Zone in the Akatsi South Constituency in the Volta Region ahead of the 2020 polls today.

The Constituency Chairman of the party in the Akatsi South, Hon. Anthony Owusu ( Westfalia ) who graced the occasion charged party supporters and hundreds of branch Executives to campaign relentlessly for the Party’s parliamentary candidate and the presidential Candidate.

This approach he says will help the party propagate its manifesto promises to the Masses in the remote areas of the Constituency for a done deal Victory for the opposition National Democratic Congress.

Speaking at the launch of the campaign, the former District Chief executive of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Hon. Samuel Kwadzo Wuadi stressed that, the upcoming election must be do and die affair and every hand must be on the deck to make “operation win all votes for Mahama and the NDC” achievable.
He continued to add that, the Manifesto is for the people for that matter it must go down to the people.

“Our manifesto is called the people’s manifesto. The message in the manifesto must get to the people. We are not only going to vote, but we are going to vote to determine the destiny and future of this country.”

He also ended his speech by asking the god’s of the land to strike down anyone planning to redefine the history of this country using the upcoming election as a determine factor.

The Party’s Scribe in the Akatsi South Constituency, Mr. Daniel Dagba uses the opportunity to explained the NDC’S People’s Manifesto to the thousands of supporters present to witness the campaign launch.

Meanwhile, the Parliamentary Candidate of the NDC in the Akatsi South Constituency, Hon. Bernard Ahiafor after meeting with the chiefs of the area, has urged members of the party to guard every ballot across the Constituency during the December 7 elections.

The leader of the opposition NDC party in the Akatsi South Constituency was also confident that his party will win the 2020 polls and continue the numerous projects abandoned by the ruling New Patriotic Party.
He seized the opportunity to express his frustration to the scores of electorates over how roads, Electrification, Hospitals, Schools and other intervention projects he has championed has been stalled by the Nana Addo led Government for no reason than “We are Voltarians” but was confident that the previous NDC Government will be given the nod again to rejuvenate the abandoned projects.

“I want to assure all the teaming supporters of the NDC, our sympathizers, well-wishers, and the millions of people waiting to vote for John Mahama, Bernard Ahiafor and the NDC that we are winning the election one touch and your stalled projects will be given the necessary attentions in the first year of John Dramani Mahama’s Government,” he stated.

The event was attended by several notable Constituency executives of the party as well as other prominent NDC figures who took turns to electrify the crowd with their speeches amidst chants of party songs and slogans.

Also in attendance were Chiefs and Elders of the 15 polling stations in the Wute Zone in the Akatsi South Constituency of the Volta Region, Wute Zongo Chiefs, representatives of the of Churches in the area and Wute chief Imam.
