Kofi Porturphy is party Chairman for the NDC

The National Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ebenezer Kofi Ofori Portuphy, has retorted in a recent interview that his party will restore peace to Ghana in 2020 when they capture back power.

Speaking exclusively with Nana Aba Anamoah on GHone TV’s ‘State of Affairs’ the Chairman opposition NDC confidently said, the NDC will [ads1]bring back peace into the country.

According to him, the peace of Ghana has been distorted by the ruling government through the activities of their invisible forces and vigilante groups.

Kofi Portuphy told Nana Aba Anamoah that, his party, the NDC has dismantled every vigilante groups prior to the 2016 general elections.

“The peace of Ghana has been distorted by the ruling government. NDC will bring back the peace. Before we went to polls in 2016, we dismantled every vigilante groups.” – he retorted

He then accused the NPP of still financing and empowering the vigilante groups in Ghana now.

He said;

“The ruling government is still financing and empowering their vigilantes groups.”
