The main opposition National Democratic Congress has today issued a press release suspending their Ayawaso North Constituency Chairman, Tahiru Ahmed following allegations he made against the deputy national chairman of the party Alhaji Said Sinare.
The decision was taken today after the Kaneshie District Court dropped all charges against Alhaji Said where he was arraigned over an allegation of sharing weapons to some youths to cause mayhem come the December 2020 elections.
Alhaji Said today wrote to the NDC National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, to sanction Tahiru Ahmed, Ayawaso North Constituency Chairperson who falsely accused him of sharing weapons to some youths.

PRESS RELEASE
The Regional Executive Committee wish to inform Party executives in the Region and all media houses to the effect that The constituency Chairman of the Ayawaso North Constituency Mr Tahiru Ahmed has been expelled from the party with immediate effect for breaching article 46 (8) of our party’s constitution.
All party property in his possession should be handed over to the Vice chairman of the Constituency to act.
