[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Central Regional Chairman of the opposition party National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacob has said that the NDC is still not unified yet to unseat NPP in 2020.
Allotey Jacob has confessed that his party has before 2016 general election had serious issues which dissevered leadership of the “Umbrella” family.
According to him, the party is still not unified to begin preparing to unseat the NPP in the 2020 election. He was quick to add that the “comeback” of the party’s founder, Jerry John Rawlings will straighten the party’s front-line ahead of the 2020 election.
The founder, JJ Rawlings who virtually ignored the party during the 2016 elections called for unity within the party when he was speaking at a mini rally at Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region as part of the Silver Jubilee celebration of the NDC.
“I salute the former president for that. He gave a sensitive idea that will help the party and we are all for that. What he said was true. Before the election, there was division among us”. He said
Mr. Alottey, admonished the NDC to put aside their differences and work together to capture power in 2020.
