NDC resolves misunderstanding with Dromankesehene

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has successfully resolved a misunderstanding with Obrempong Danso Abeam II, the Chief of Dromankese. The issue arose from miscommunication between the party and community leaders, which led to curses being invoked against the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, and some NDC members.

Recently, a video surfaced on social media showing some leaders of Dromankese expressing their dissatisfaction with former President Mahama’s failure to visit the chief’s palace during his campaign tour of the Bono East Region.

In the video, the elders claimed that they had to wait for the NDC flagbearer the entire day but he did not show up. This led them to invoke curses on the former President, the party’s parliamentary candidates, and any native of the town who attempts to vote for the NDC in the forthcoming December 7th general elections.

However, after a fruitful discussion with the NDC leadership at the Dromankesehene Palace, it was revealed that a miscommunication on the part of the program organizers was the main cause of the misunderstanding involving Mr. Mahama.

“We came to realize that the Former President’s inability to meet with me was due to miscommunication on the part of the program organizers and had nothing to do with snubbing or disrespecting Nananom,” Obrempong Danso Abeam II said.

“We have accepted the apology and resolved the issue amicably. We appreciate the respect shown by the NDC leadership and their commitment to building strong relationships with traditional authorities.”

A delegation from the NDC, led by Nana Baffoe Sarkodie, expressed gratitude to the community leaders and urged the electorate to vote massively for the party in the December polls.

“We are grateful for the understanding and cooperation of the Chiefs and people of Dromankese. We urge the electorates to come out in their numbers on December 7th to vote massively for President Mahama and all NDC Parliamentary Candidates. We assure them that their votes will count and bring about positive change,” he said.

Also present at the gathering were the NDC Council of Elders, as well as regional and Nkoranza North Constituency executives.
