The Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Masawudu Suleman, has reportedly been assaulted by alleged thugs associated with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to the National Youth Organizer (NYO) of the NDC, George Opare Addo, the incident occurred on Saturday, September 7, at the residence of a former constituency chairperson.
He further indicated that an unidentified number of other party youths were also assaulted during the attack. Mr. Addo expressed his disappointment in the Ghana Police Service, arguing that no arrests had been made 48 hours after the alleged crime.
“On September 7, 2024, some NDC youth were unjustifiably attacked by NPP thugs. The home of our former Constituency Chairperson in the affected area was ransacked, and the Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer, Masawudu Suleman, was assaulted in the same residence,” the NDC NYO said in a social media post.
