Mr. Bright Botchway, a Master of Arts (M.A.) student in Strategic Communication at the UEW Winneba Campus and a graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing from Perez University College (affiliated with UCC), enters this important position with a strong track record.

Botchway began his political career at a young age, serving as the Branch Youth Organizer at Presby JHS, Agona East, from 2009 to 2012. This early involvement sparked his interest in community service and leadership.

His dedication and commitment were further exemplified during his tenure as the Vice President of TEIN (Tertiary Education Institutions Network) from 2013 to 2014, followed by his role as TEIN President from 2014 to 2015. These positions allowed him to advocate for the rights and interests of tertiary students, honing his leadership and communication skills.

Mr. Botchway’s contributions expanded beyond the academic sphere when he served as the Communication Officer in Gomoa East from 2014 to 2018. His effective communication strategies played a pivotal role in advancing the party’s goals within the Gomoa East constituency.

Recognizing his potential, Bright Botchway was appointed as a Regional Communications Member in the Central Region from 2016 to 2018. This broader role allowed him to apply his communication expertise to a regional context.

His dedication to the party’s values was further demonstrated through his appointment as the General Secretary of the Young Cadres Association (YCA) from 2015 to 2016. This position emphasized the importance of youth engagement and participation in the political process.

His remarkable journey also includes serving as a political aide to the former Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Interior, and Ambassador to South Africa, H.E. Kwesi Ahwoi.

These experiences provided invaluable insights and mentorship from a seasoned political figure.

His ascent continued as he assumed the role of Deputy Regional Youth Organizer in the Central Region from 2018 to 2022, solidifying his influence and leadership within the NDC.

Bright Botchway’s appointment as the National Deputy Coordinator for the Traders and Artisans Network is a testament to his dedication and expertise. His background in strategic communication and marketing, coupled with his extensive experience in various political positions, positions him as a rising star in Ghanaian politics. His passion for community and regional development, as well as his commitment to effective communication, make him a valuable asset to both his professional and political pursuits.

As Bright Botchway steps into this new role, the NDC can look forward to his fresh perspective, dedication, and continued commitment to advancing the party’s mission and values. With his appointment, the Traders and Artisans Network gains a leader who is well-equipped to make a significant impact and drive positive change within the NDC and the communities it serves.
