The large number of NDC delegates casting their presidential primaries ballot at the Celestial School Complex, Ashaiman, is making the party hierarchy consider creating another polling center.
There are, currently, two centers-A and B, with six booths-for a total of 2,076 delegates.
Polling station A has a roll call of 1,017 and B has a register of 1,057 and though the exercise has been peaceful, Ernest Norgbey, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ashaiman, bemoaned the long winding
queue.
He expressed fear that should another polling station not be created to speed up the process, the exercise would linger.
He said the party and EC officials are going to meet to consider the proposal so that by 5pm, majority of the delegates will have voted.
There are about 10 uniformed police personnel who are ensuring that security is very high at the venue.
As at the time of filing this report, neither the police nor party executives have had a torrid time to contain.
The exercise opened at 7 am and at about 9 am, a total of 100 valid delegates had cast their votes.
