The National Democratic Congress (NDC) grassroots members are up in arms, calling for the immediate dismissal of Felix Gyamfi, the Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA).
Gyamfi recently stated that there would be no reposting for National Service personnel after their initial postings, sparking widespread outrage.
The NDC’s student wing, Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN), is at the forefront of the backlash, arguing that Gyamfi’s stance undermines the contributions of student activists who tirelessly supported the party’s return to power.
Silent protests are spreading across the country, with many party supporters questioning Gyamfi’s loyalty and track record within the NDC.
Allegations have surfaced that Gyamfi’s appointment was politically influenced by NDC guru, rather than being based on merit or commitment to party ideals.
“Felix Gyamfi must be getting ready to leave the job if he continues on this path. What role did he play during the 2024 elections? Our party is now rewarding sycophants, and that’s why he has the boldness to make such a tone-deaf statement,” a furious youth organizer said.
Former TEIN National Coordinator, Gombilla Sadiq Mohammed, expressed his displeasure in a passionate Facebook post, stating,”I’ve been at the NSA secretariat since dawn. Reposting is a right for TEIN graduates—they’ve paid their dues. I’m not leaving until every single TEIN member is reposted to a place that supports their career and personal growth.”
Student leaders and youth activists are echoing this call for Gyamfi’s removal, warning that his actions could damage the party’s reputation among young voters and student supporters ahead of the 2028 elections.
Bright Kekeli, a final-year student of the University of Professional Studies and a proud TEIN member, demanded Gyamfi’s immediate sacking, stating, He’s completely disconnected from the reality on the ground. Many of us made serious sacrifices for this party in 2024. He is a threat to our victory in 2028.”
