Addressing a large gathering of party members at the regional office, Prof. Asiedu urged supporters to engage in door-to-door, room-to-room, and market-to-market campaigns to ensure the party’s vision and mission are achieved.

Prof. Asiedu, who was suspended for a month over the suspension of a parliamentary candidate, disclosed that members of the ruling New Patriotic Party celebrated his suspension because they believed it would give them a free hand in the region.

He said, “I’m back, and I’m committed to winning the election for President Mahama and Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang without fear or panic.”

He further urged party supporters to unite and focus on the upcoming campaign activities.

The chairman expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the regional executives for their support during his difficult moments.

For her part, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Awutu Senya East Constituency, Madam Naa Koryor, reassured the party of her determination to win the seat from the incumbent, Mavis Hawa Koomson.

She further urged party supporters to work together to achieve the party’s target of securing 20 parliamentary seats in the Central Region.
